Port-congestion, supply chain delays and shortages in labor, equipment, and shipping capacity, combined with an increasing demand across the U.S., has caused unprecedented disruptions across the U.S. in multiple product categories. Pricing has surged across a variety of sectors attributable to increased demand and restricted supply. Be sure to work closely with your customer service representatives at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts-approved suppliers and distributors to identify and stay abreast of potential delays. Access the latest product availability report below:

• Due to increasing freight, container, and logistics costs, Hollander implemented a temporary 10% freight surcharge on all “Hollander,” “Focus” and “Protect-a-Bed” products effective 9.1.21.

Industry-wide supply chain issues continue to create challenges in our foodservice. Many companies are confronting labor shortages, and many are also battling shortages  of raw materials. Although Wyndham Hotels & Resorts -approved suppliers are working hard to help mitigate risks, the combined impact of these factors  can result in late deliveries, missed deliveries or product shortages in many instances. Below, are several steps you can take to help minimize the impact of these industry-wide issues.

• Work closely with your foodservice distributor to help ensure you  are aware of product shortages and delivery delays. Plan menus and place orders accordingly.
• Increase inventory on non-perishable and frozen items to help create a back-up supply of goods in anticipation of delivery delays.
• Be flexible with menus and have alternate menu options in place.
• Increase order sizes to reduce delivery days.
• Optimize delivery days. Ask your distributor which day is their busiest day of the week and consider receiving deliveries on alternative days.
• Place all orders as early as possible. Placing orders, a week out or even with just one skip day  can help improve results. If you can’t accommodate a skip day, simply ordering earlier in the day (by 10am)  can also help improve fill rates.
• Give service, equipment and small wares suppliers as much lead time as possible as many of them are also struggling with labor shortages.

Among products at risk of depletion and re-stocking delays are the following Dawn Phase 1 elements (which are required for guestrooms to be compliant with on or before Dec. 31, 2021):

• Headboard Wall Imagery– manufactured by Interia, currently has a delivery lead time of six to eight weeks. However, as we near the compliance deadline, we anticipate a high influx of orders and expect this timeline to lengthen.
