The COVID-19 pandemic continues to cause significant challenges to supply chains globally. Manufacturers have been facing unprecedented disruptions due to multiple supply chain fractures caused both by lockdowns internationally and domestic natural disasters in the U.S. (e.g. extreme weather conditions from the polar vortex in TX and LA). The result, logistics delays - a slow down or temporarily stop of the flow of raw materials and finished goods. Be sure to work closely with your account representatives at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts-approved suppliers to identify and stay abreast of potential delays and consider increasing your inventory of non-perishables so to help mitigate disruption to your operations.

✓ FF&E Shipping Delays¹ – Due to four main factors: reduced vessel capacity, congested ports, and a shortage of equipment to move containers (think flat cars, locomotives & people power) combined with spiked demand have caused the perfect storm of logistical delays. 

✓ Furniture Foam² – Due to winter storms and power outages that hit Texas and Louisiana the production of toluene diisocyante (TDI), one of the two main ingredients used to make furniture foam, was shut down for several weeks causing a knock-on effect to FF&E manufacturers. This combined with a surge in demand from a nationwide reopening has caused unprecedented production delays.
